Matthew Alley Joins Silverback As Chief Financial Officer
SAN ANTONIO - October 17, 2017 – Silverback Exploration II, LLC (Silverback) announced today the addition of Matthew Alley to its senior leadership team as chief financial officer. Alley brings more than 15 years of corporate and energy finance and investment experience to the Silverback team. In his new role, Alley is responsible for all financial functions of the company including structuring potential transactions, financial modeling and analysis, budgeting and reporting, and strategic planning.

Prior to Silverback, Alley spent two years as chief financial officer and vice president of finance with Palomar Natural Resources, an oil and gas operator with assets in the United States and Poland. Additionally, Alley was manager of corporate finance at Aspect Energy, an independent energy exploration and investment company, where he focused on corporate and financial matters relating to projects in the Gulf Coast and multiple unconventional basins in the United States, as well as international projects in Hungary, Kurdistan and Italy. Alley’s responsibilities at Aspect included leading the corporate finance team focused on financial planning and analysis, corporate finance modeling and transaction execution, preparation of project economics, hedging, treasury and cash management and shareholder and management reporting. Prior to Aspect, Alley was a project manager at Gerbig Management and an investment analyst at Quellos Private Capital Markets.
Alley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and computer science from the University of Puget Sound.
